tried it, I agree 100%; I just lowered the blacks all the way, sat to +12, and got amazing results! I use Slog3 for run and gun while HLG3 for studio environment and just convert it to 709

It's very easy. I can use the EF lens on just about any mirrorless camera body I want with an adapter. And it costs 2-300$US$. The RF lens I can only use on a canon RF camera.

You’re not crippling your camera by not using slog 3. Finding all these quirks to help slog2 is more effort than worth.

Thank you Ben Martin! Video Keypoints 1. DSLR Video Shooter (Caleb) suggest to use SLOG 2 in ITU-709 Matrix color mode 2. Ben norticed that SLOG 2 in ITU-709 doesnt look good (color looks fake, too much luminance, weird tint to all color, skin tones turning magenta. 3. These problems looks much worse when Ben tried to use the ITU-709 in SLOG 3 4. Ben watched a video by doneitdidit UA-camr from Canada, making Slog 2 more usable by: 4.1. Pumping saturation all the way to the top (+32 max on my Sony a6400) 4.2. Color Mode: Cinema (Based on Ben, this one has the less magenta looking) 4.3. Black Gamma: Middle and -7 (Black Levels low to give little bit contrast straight from the camera so you don't have to push contrast in post that much will or could prevent footage from falling apart. 5. This idea is only for SLOG 3 8bit, haven't tried with SLOG 2, but Ben knows that it does fix the problem 6. For lower light situation, Ben is using HLG1 because that's the color profile handles noise the best when it comes to HLG 7. Regarding the adjustments made (#4.1-4.3) above, the Luminance of Reds and Blues may not seems to be right, so he suggest to adjust the color depth mode. What he did to make these luminance more natural: 7.1. Adjust Reds +3 7.2. Adjust Blues +3 7.3. Other colors try to eyeball it maybe +1 or +2

Although I would have like to have seen more of the case, I appreciate the information you provided Ben. I have a Nanuk 910 for my Nikon Z50, two lenses, Rhode mic, chargers, cords and SD cards, but I need something just a scōsh bigger to hold both my Lumix G9 and G7, along with three lenses, cords, chargers, SD cards and some other Riff-raff. I'm pretty sure I can shoe-horn in those items in this 920. I like the divider option, along with the lid organizer. I agree with your thoughts on Nanuk charging more for different colors. Makes absolutely no Cents (pun intended). Amazon has the silver version of the 920 on sale right now (January 2024) for $148 (normally $250).

Awesome review, we surely appreciate the detailed breakdown of these two great lenses. I recently purchased an R6 MKII and I adapt many of my older E/EF-S lenses. I own a MKI EF 24-105mm f/4 and the EF 24-105mm f/3.5-5.6 STM. Man I just can’t afford the RF right now. My money tree had a bad season this year😂. I do have the RF 50mm and I’m really enjoying it with my R62. Surprisingly enough, pixel peeping with these bad eyes of mine, the STM keeps up with my MKI (L) glass. The STM is newer and that focus is lighting quick. I can imagine the sharpness of the RF. Thanks again

You overestimate the difference in sharpness, it is well known that there is not a big difference. Perhaps your copy was not so good or as you already here show: you don't investigate good. So no thumps up.

I'm planning to buy a 24-105 F4 as my walk around lens. At first I'm planning to get the RF version but someone is selling me his EF 24-105mm F4 Mark 1 for only USD250. Yeah the RF is better overall, 2005 vs 2018 but majority of RF advantage is minimal. One more advantage is the EF can be adopted on Sony cameras not sure if there's an adapter available for RF lenses.

Honestly if u have a MacBook already and u want a gaming laptop just buy a ps5 or series S/X cause why would u need a gaming laptop if u have a MacBook already might as well invest that money u saved up for a gaming laptop and buy both consoles

thanks for the informative vid...which program are you using for your post production in cleaning up the noise in your footage?

In my tests Cinema mode looks trash with skin tones. Too red, turns blotchy, falls apart. S-Gamut3.Cine is by far the most natural and has the least issues with colour and skin tone.
